The Southside Panthers can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They really took it to Lincoln for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-21 victory at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-6.
Grace Anne rose was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Shaw, who scored 14 points.
Southside's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Lincoln, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hokes Bluff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Panthers are ranked 41st). As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Glencoe has three straight victories, the Golden Bears have three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
