The Newfane Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 76-49 victory over Western New York Maritime Charter on the road. That 76-49 margin sets a new team best for Newfane this season.
Newfane's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Snow led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Dickinson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Western New York Maritime Charter still got an impressive performance from Jamanye Corbett, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Davis, who scored nine points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Newfane and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Western New York Maritime Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Newfane will be home for the holidays to greet Emerson Vo-Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Western New York Maritime Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Olmsted at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
