The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 61-52 win over Marysville-Pilchuck on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Edmonds-Woodway, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Edmonds-Woodway found their leader in underclassman Dj Karl, who scored 19 points. Karl continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Williams, who scored 11 points.
Edmonds-Woodway's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Edmonds-Woodway will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Murphy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Archbishop Murphy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edmonds-Woodway in Washington (Archbishop Murphy is ranked 28th, while Edmonds-Woodway is ranked 152nd). As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Shorecrest at 7:15 p.m.
