They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-64 victory over the Thales Academy Apex Titans on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Titans on January 13th, they had to take a 63-35 loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neuse Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Graham, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Graham continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Brown, who posted 15 points.
Thales Academy Apex's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zach Rachmuth, who went 14 of 21 on his way to 34 points along with eight boards and three steals, and Gradyn West, who went 7 for 13 en route to 22 points. That's the most points Rachmuth has posted since back in December of 2023.
Neuse Christian Academy moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Thales Academy Apex, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
