Ragland won the last time they faced Gaylesville and things went their way on Friday too. The Purple Devils blew past the Trojans 41-20. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Purple Devils had established a 20-point advantage.

Ragland found their leader in sophomore Kodi Embry, who threw for 133 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes. A'Ron Lee helped Embry out on the ground, rushing for 78 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Ragland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kobe Embry and Shannon Staely. Staely got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Ragland's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Gaylesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
