Softball Recap: Rosewood Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Rosewood rose to the challenge on Friday. They beat East Wake Academy by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering Rosewood has won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Rosewood, bringing their record up to 13-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for East Wake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Rosewood will take on East Carteret on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.4, the Mariners 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. East Wake Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
