The Charles Henderson Trojans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Headland Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Even though Eufaula scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, Charles Henderson still came out on top. Everything went Charles Henderson's way against Eufaula as Charles Henderson made off with a 51-31 win.
Charles Henderson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jywon Boyd out in front who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. Zach Coleman was another key contributor, rushing for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Meanwhile, Headland had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-22 victory over Carroll at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Headland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Williams, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 52 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of MARCUS REEVES, who rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Charles Henderson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Headland, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-1.
