Nixon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jose Escobar, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Escobar's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Vela, who scored 16 points.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Lozano, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Medina, who scored 22 points.
Nixon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Laredo LBJ, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
Nixon's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bishop at 12:30 p.m. on November 30th. Averaging 75.6 so far this season, Bishop's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Nixon better be ready for a challenge. As for Laredo LBJ, they will take on Vela at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vela is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.5 points per game.
