The Noxubee County Tigers won the last time they faced the McLaurin Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Noxubee County claimed a resounding 68-31 win over the Tigers at home.
Despite the defeat, McLaurin saw an underclassman step up: K.J. Cannon scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Noxubee County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for McLaurin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-13.
Noxubee County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. As for McLaurin, they will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
