Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alexandria). They breezed past the Onalaska Wildcats to the tune of 82-55 on Saturday. The Trojans' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Alexandria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jarvell Bordelon out in front who shot 63% from the field to rack up 25 points and five boards. What's more, Bordelon posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshawn Duncan, who made all 9 shots he took racking up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.
Alexandria was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. They racked up ten more assists than Onalaska's also-impressive total of 15.
Onalaska lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Spencer Green, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 18 points along with six assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Patrick Roth, who earned 17 points.
Alexandria's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Onalaska, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alexandria will welcome Holy Savior Menard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Onalaska, they will host Tarkington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
