Benjamin Logan extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping them up to 11-5. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Northwestern Warriors. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant win of the season.
Adam Tinsman made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Cayden Brown was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Carter Fay was another key player, earning two RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Benjamin Logan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwestern only posted a batting average of .250.
As for Northwestern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against Benjamin Logan since May 13, 2022.
On Northwestern's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Grimm, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin Logan will square off against Urbana at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hillclimbers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Northwestern, they will challenge Tecumseh at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
