East Carteret came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Croatan Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mariners of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
While East Carteret ultimately came up short, they really made Croatan work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-11, 25-16.
