Even though the Lindbergh Eagles scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Sammamish RedHawks still came out on top. Sammamish narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lindbergh 62-59. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sammamish.
Sammamish got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Barry Morrissette out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Boddie, who scored 13 points.
Sammamish's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-4. As for Lindbergh, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Sammamish will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Renton at 7:15 p.m. Renton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 847 points over their last 11 games. Lindbergh won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hazen at 5:30 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Hazen is ranked 235th, while Lindbergh is ranked 226th).
