If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Macon. They will square off against Carrollton at 7:00 PM on Friday. Macon are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Carrollton are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
While not quite a landslide, the contest between Macon and Centralia last Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Macon wrapped it up with a 37-20 win. Macon had a senior duo take command as Nash Waller rushed for 56 yards and 2 touchdowns and Kevin Edwards rushed for 127 yards and 1 touchdown. That makes it nine straight good games in a row from Waller.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 13-48, which was the final score in Carrollton's tilt against Lafayette County.
Macon's victory lifted them to 7-2 while Carrollton's defeat dropped them down to 3-6. In Macon's victory, senior Nash Waller rushed for 56 yards and 2 touchdowns and senior Kevin Edwards rushed for 127 yards and 1 touchdown. We'll see if Carrollton have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
