After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sage Hill, Hesperia Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the PAL Academy Bulls 50-18. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bulls: they've now won five in a row.

Hesperia Christian had a senior duo take command as Hunter Halbrook threw for 230 yards and seven TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes and Noah Griffin picked up 153 receiving yards and four scores. Those seven passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Halbrook.

Hesperia Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Hesperia Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. PAL Academy's QB won't forget Joseph Kelly anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Bulls' side was Josh Lewis, who made 15 total tackles.

Hesperia Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for PAL Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Hesperia Christian will square off against Lucerne Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for PAL Academy, they will face off against Valley Oaks Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
