Softball Recap: Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Central's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Hope Blue Wave. Considering the Knights have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Danna Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Janet Batista, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. As for Hope, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
