Malik Holman Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is South Lake's Malik Holman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Holman made nine total tackles. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards.
The victory was the third in a row for South Lake, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles takes on Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Trace Kulczar Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Horizon got the W thanks in part to Trace Kulczar playing the best football he has all season. Kulczar wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. The matchup was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.
Horizon moved to 1-7 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. Kulczar's next match is against Davenport on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Carl Jean-Bart Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Carl Jean-Bart produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Davenport to the win on Friday. Jean-Bart picked up 225 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.6).
Davenport's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. Jean-Bart and Davenport are taking a road trip to square off against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

South Lake was led to victory by Jayson Vasquez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Vasquez wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss). The matchup was his fourth straight with five or more total tackles.
On the year, Vasquez has averaged 4.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 2 sacks.
