Rylie Adams made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Adriah Sholl was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Addie Henderson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Harlem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freeport only posted a batting average of .217.
Harlem pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Freeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season.
As of now, neither Harlem nor Freeport have any future games scheduled.
