Suburban Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 53-44 to Indiana Christian Academy. Suburban Christian has struggled against Indiana Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Suburban Christian saw an underclassman step up: Chad Glover scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glover has scored all season. Tim Poynter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Indiana Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Tipton, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Seth Plew, who scored 12 points along with four blocks.
Suburban Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Indiana Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Legacy Elite Academy the next time they take the court. Indiana Christian Academy will head out to face Legacy Elite Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Suburban Christian will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
