Make it seven blowout wins for the Davie War Eagles this season. They blew past Glenn 60-39. Given Davie's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Glenn is ranked 506th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malayka Rankin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Aderhold, who scored 15 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Davie and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie will take on R.J. Reynolds at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. R.J. Reynolds will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Glenn, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Parkland at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Parkland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
