Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Glacier's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Glacier came out on top against Hellgate on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Wolfpack put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack, who have now won nine contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Olivia Warriner spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Karley Allen was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakiah Persinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Glacier is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Hellgate, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Coming up, Glacier will host Sentinel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Hellgate, they will venture away from home to face off against Flathead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Braves/Bravettes at the right time seeing as the Braves/Bravettes are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
