Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the North Caroline Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 28-14 fall against Kent Island on Friday. North Caroline's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Shane Bogardus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Bogardus is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
North Caroline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Kent Island, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
North Caroline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kent Island will square off against Decatur at TBD on Friday. Decatur knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Kent Island likes a good challenge.
