Bishop McNamara is a perfect 3-0 against St. Edward since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Fightin' Irish will head out to face off against the Green Wave at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bishop McNamara managed to keep up with Timothy Christian until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Fightin' Irish came up short against the Trojans, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Bishop McNamara can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Timothy Christian are ranked 136th).

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for St. Edward's offense. They lost 4-0 to Harvest Christian Academy on Tuesday.

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bishop McNamara, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Bishop McNamara's way against St. Edward when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bishop McNamara made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fightin' Irish since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
