The South Philadelphia Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of MAST Charter II. South Philadelphia just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Cedric Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds and five steals for MAST Charter II. That makes it five consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of MAST Charter II's points. Another player making a difference was Basil Graham, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
South Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for MAST Charter II, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8.
South Philadelphia will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m. on February 1st. MAST Charter II won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Martin Luther at 4:45 p.m. on January 26th. Martin Luther comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
