Softball Recap: Hampshire Comes Up Short

Hampshire extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-8 in the process. They came up short against the Musselman Applemen, falling 10-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Musselman, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10-1 record. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 8-0).

For Musselman's part, the team relied heavily on Marissa Wascher, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Wascher has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hostetler, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

While Hampshire had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
