The Harrison Huskies couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 39-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mahopac. Harrison lost against Mahopac in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-45 score last time.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Gjokaj, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Crupi, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mahopac, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Harrison will head out on the road to face off against Scarsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mahopac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
