Shaler Area is 9-1 against Plum since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Shaler Area Titans will head out on the road to take on the Plum Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Shaler Area is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Plum in Pennsylvania (Shaler Area is ranked eighth, while Plum is ranked 392nd).
Even though Shaler Area has not done well against North Allegheny recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Shaler Area strolled past North Allegheny with points to spare, taking the game 53-38.
Meanwhile, Plum's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Armstrong. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plum in their matchups with Armstrong: they've now lost five in a row.
Shaler Area's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Plum, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Shaler Area strolled past Plum in their previous meeting on January 3rd by a score of 71-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shaler Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
