Gobles is 7-2 against Lawton since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Gobles is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Gobles duked it out with Kellogg on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Kylee Killeen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Daisy Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Kelsee Sherrod was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.
Gobles was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawton). Everything went their way against Hackett Catholic Prep on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Like Gobles, Lawton also got a great game from a two-way player: Allison Murphy. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Murphy has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gia Bridges, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Madi Richter also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Gobles' record now sits at 6-2. As for Lawton, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Lawton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gobles hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .425. It's a different story for Lawton, though, as they've only averaged .245. Will they be able to contain Gobles' hitters?
Everything went Gobles' way against Lawton when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Gobles made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
