Clover Garden School had a senior duo take command as Nikole Weed had nine digs and seven aces and Hanna Tickle had five digs and one block. Tickle is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 20 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Emma Sutton also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.
Phoenix Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Clover Garden School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6.
Phoenix Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Triad Math and Science Academy on the 7th. Clover Garden School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
