Bay City is 1-9 against the Cougars since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bay City Blackcats will head out on the road to take on the La Marque Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Bay City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Bay City struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (the Bulldogs had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bay City fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 46-43.
Alex Estrada put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points along with two steals. Braylon Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, La Marque scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Sweeny on the road to the tune of 73-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for La Marque.
Bay City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for La Marque, the win got them back to even at 16-16.
Bay City suffered a grim 62-41 defeat to the Cougars when the teams last played back in January. Can Bay City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
