The Halifax Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Halifax Academy sitting on three straight wins and Melbourne Central Catholic on five.
Last Friday, Halifax Academy never let their opponents score. They breezed by Trinity Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 40-0. The result was nothing new for Halifax Academy, who have now won four matches by 34 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Central Catholic can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 38-0 victory over Cocoa Beach. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Melbourne Central Catholic just coasted through the last quarter.
Joseph Allen looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 201 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Ezra Engle made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Halifax Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40 points. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Halifax Academy came up short against Melbourne Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, falling 17-8. Can Halifax Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
