In what's become a running theme this season, the Hillcrest Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They really took it to Shields for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-45 win at home. The win was familiar territory for Hillcrest who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Robert Simpson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Jermonte Stallworth was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Shields, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Hillcrest the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Escambia County at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th. Escambia County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Shields, they will head out on the road to square off against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully McKenzie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday.
