The Oregon Hawks were the 40-36 winners over the Forreston Cardinals when they previously met last December. On Saturday? They had no such luck. It was a hard-fought game, but Oregon had to settle for a 47-40 loss against Forreston. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Oregon's loss pushed them down to 15-14. The win -- their third in a row -- raised Forreston's record to 15-13.
Oregon will stay at home against Morrison on Tuesday. The Hawks are the favorites here -- although they were the favorites in this last matchup, too, so the odds might count for a little less. As for the Cardinals, they will face off against Amboy on Tuesday. Amboy has averaged 67.33 points over the course of their past three games, so Forreston might be in for a challenge.
