The Jefferson Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Creekside Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jefferson comes in on 13 and Creekside on ten.
Jefferson had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on Harris County with a sharp 35-12 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Jefferson, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Sammy Brown, who rushed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Creekside put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Warner Robins 35-14. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Creekside just coasted through the last quarter.
Creekside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shane Kelley led the charge by picking up 130 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Dylan Vickerson also helped out as he racked up 106 receiving yards.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.67 points. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as Jefferson and Creekside have no problem gaining yardage. Jefferson has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 359.1 total yards per game. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've been even better at 457.9 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
