Bryce Valley won the last time they faced Green River and Gerardo Lopez did his part to make sure it happened again. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 81-60 margin over the Pirates on Friday thanks in part to Lopez, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards. Lopez is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rolando Anguiano, who shot 44% from the field en route to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Jason Hernandez, who posted 17 points in addition to eight assists and six steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Bryce Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Green River, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Bryce Valley has already played their next matchup, a 60-22 victory against Beaver Dam on the 6th. As for Green River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 loss against Panguitch on the 6th.
