 Meanwhile, Grant Community was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Grayslake North.
 McHenry's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Grant Community, they now  have a losing record of 14-15-1.
 Everything went McHenry's way against Grant Community in their previous meeting  back in June of 2021, as McHenry made off with  a  7-1 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success,  or do  the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
