Chamblee has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Lithonia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lithonia took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chamblee, who comes in off a win.
Even though Chamblee has not done well against Decatur recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Chamblee walked away with a 41-33 victory over Decatur.
Meanwhile, Lithonia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of M.L. King by a score of 43-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Lithonia has suffered yet this season.
Chamblee is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Lithonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Chamblee took their victory against Lithonia in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 48-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chamblee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
