The Dysart Demons waltzed into their game Wednesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. Everything went their way against Moon Valley as Dysart made off with a 73-53 win. Given Dysart's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Moon Valley is ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dysart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nigel Anderson out in front who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Anderson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Nate Morales was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eddie Boone, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kevin Gray, who scored 14 points.
Dysart's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Moon Valley, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Dysart won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Willow Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
