Sharon and Oil City are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Tigers will challenge the Oilers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sharon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Sharon didn't have quite enough to beat Titusville and fell 8-7. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Oil City didn't have quite enough to beat Grove City on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Oilers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Conner Lockhart was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season.

Oil City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sharon, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Oil City's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sharon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. It's a different story for Oil City, though, as they've only averaged .311. Will they be able to contain Sharon's hitters?

Sharon was able to grind out a solid victory over Oil City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
