Carbon took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the American Leadership Academy Eagles 34-31. The win continues a trend for the Dinos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Maddux Willson had a dynamite game, picking up 71 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 31 yards and one TD. Dexter Packard helped out on the ground, rushing for 112 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carbon's defensive line and their three sacks. Andy Kifer was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Coming up, Carbon will challenge Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will face off against Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 937 yards in their previous games.
