The Arapahoe Warriors entered their tilt with the ThunderRidge Grizzlies with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Arapahoe strolled past ThunderRidge with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arapahoe also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Arapahoe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liz Gentry, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Gentry hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Smith, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Kayser-cochran, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Becca Winton was another key contributor, scoring six points.
ThunderRidge struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Arapahoe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for ThunderRidge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Arapahoe will square off against Rampart at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Rampart focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. As for ThunderRidge, they will be playing at home against Legend at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legend presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than ThunderRidge in Colorado (Legend is ranked second, while ThunderRidge is ranked 33rd).
