DeMatha extended the longest winning streak in Washington Catholic this week by beating Gonzaga, 31-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Our Lady of Good Counsel took down Archbishop Carroll 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Cory Jones made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lions fell to the Falcons. The 6-foot-3 defensive end grabbed 1 sack.
Ramar Williams threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 11-18 with 0 interceptions.
Williams put up the best numbers through the air as Bishop McNamara fell to St. John's. Williams' favorite target this week was Camari Murray, who caught 7 passes for 120 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Mustangs' Williams and Jordan Crockett have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Williams has thrown for 2,030 yards this season, while Crockett has 43 catches for 1,035 yards. Taiwan Deal from DeMatha leads the league in rushing with 806 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Archbishop Carroll and the Cadets. Rick Houchens' team enters the contest ranked 12th in the state, while St. John's ranks second.
