Midland strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They skirted past the Sulphur Golden Tors 30-27. The 30-point effort marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Sulphur, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Midland will square off against South Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sulphur, they will welcome LaGrange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Tors will need to watch out since the Gators have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
