The North Mesquite Stallions won against the Spruce Timberwolves last Tuesday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. North Mesquite simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Spruce 69-32 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Mesquite to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jermiah Grigsby, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Grigsby continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Marquel Mouton was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
North Mesquite has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Spruce, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
North Mesquite will be playing in front of their home fans against Poteet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spruce, they will head out on the road to challenge West Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Mesquite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Spruce in Texas (West Mesquite is ranked 161st, while Spruce is ranked 1455th).
