Lake Weir scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 51-21 loss at the hands of the North Marion Colts. The loss leaves the Hurricanes without a win on the season.

North Marion found their leader in freshman JAMEYA BROWN, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 20 points and three steals. The contest was BROWN's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of ZIPPORAH MOZELL, who posted eight points and three steals.

Lake Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Lake Weir and Crystal River will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Marion, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Keystone Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Marion is facing Keystone Heights at the right time seeing as Keystone Heights is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
