The Raymond Rams will be playing at home against the Greene County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Raymond is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greene County in their respective states (Raymond is ranked 49th in New Hampshire, while Greene County is ranked 132nd in Mississippi).
Raymond pushed their score all the way to 40 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newport.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Greene County made off with a 29-28 victory over Poplarville. The win was just what Greene County needed coming off of a 46-13 defeat in their prior contest.
Greene County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Coby King led the charge by rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 168 yards and a touchdown. Keenan Franks was another key contributor, rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns.
Raymond's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Greene County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
