Basketball Recap: Galva Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lowpoint-Washburn came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Galva, but Blake Stahl wouldn't allow it. The Galva Wildcats came out on top against the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats by a score of 67-55 on Saturday thanks in part to Stahl, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was MJ Louck, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kody Knecht, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Isaacson, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points.

The win was the fourth in a row for Galva, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galva will welcome Brimfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Galva is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.5 points per game this season. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m.
