Football Recap: Pilot Point Skates Past a Plus Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pilot Point). They blew past the A Plus Academy Knights 78-0 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bearcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Garrett Evans looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 110 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground.

Pilot Point was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Pilot Point's record is now 6-1. As for A Plus Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Pilot Point and A Plus Academy will both be playing Pottsboro the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bearcats will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
