The Ridgeline Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Southridge Suns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Ridgeline and Walla Walla squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly Ridgeline had to settle for second. They took a 75-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. Ridgeline's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brayden Allen, who scored 21 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Caden Andreas, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists.
Meanwhile, Southridge was the victim of a tough 82-57 loss at the hands of North Central on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Southridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while North Central is ranked 15th).
Ridgeline's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Southridge, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Ridgeline barely slipped by Southridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 55-54. Does Ridgeline have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
