Even though Berry scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, Ardrey Kell still came out on top. Ardrey Kell managed a 75-69 victory over Berry. Given Ardrey Kell's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Berry is ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ardrey Kell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Caskey, who scored 26 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Caskey has scored at least 25% of Ardrey Kell's points. Another player making a difference was Brett Freeman, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds.
SouthLake Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season. They took their game at home last Friday with ease, bagging a 62-35 win over Hickory Grove Christian.
Ardrey Kell's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
